Get on Board Day is a new national advocacy day that is all about generating awareness of and increasing support for public transportation. The Rapid is partnering with organizations to have bus pop-ups throughout the Greater Grand Rapids area. Construction Begins on the Laker Line, Scheduled to Open in August 2020

The Rapid announces the start of construction for the Laker Line, a 13-mile route connecting Grand Valley State University in Allendale to the Michigan Street Medical Mile in Grand Rapids. An estimated 11,000 high-frequency rides per day will be taken on the Laker Line when it opens in August 2020.
