Youth Wave Card
As of November 2019, 10-ride student paper tickets are no longer available and have been replaced by the Youth Wave card.
How to switch to a Youth Wave Card:
- Visit Rapid Central Station to show proof of age.
- Pay a one-time fee of $3 for your Youth Wave card.
- Load your Youth Wave card at any one of our 60+ retail locations. Find one near you at wave.ridetherapid.org.

Benefits of the Youth Wave Card
More youths are eligible for discounted fares. No student ID is necessary to qualify—everyone 19 years of age or younger is eligible for a Youth Wave card.
If you register a Youth Wave card online, you can protect your balance if your card is ever lost or stolen.
The Rapid’s new retail network offers 60+ locations where you can reload funds on your Youth Wave card. You can also add funds online and at Rapid Central Station. Find a location near you here.
