Laker Line Study Holds Public Meetings

The Laker Line Study, The Rapid's 15-month long evaluation of the current Route 50 bus service aiming to introduce a more efficient system along the existing route, kicked off the public input portion of the study on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.

The Laker Line Study project team and The Rapid held three public meetings to solicit feedback from local residents and riders. The main focus of these meetings was to propose and discuss upgrading the Lake Michigan Route from it's current operation to a Bus Rapid Transit service. These hands-on, ineractive input sessions were held at the Walker Fire Station in Standale, the Kirkhof Center on GVSU's main campus and at The Rapid Central Station.
