Rapid Connect Is Coming Soon!
New mobility on-demand service is coming to Walker and Kentwood
The Rapid will be beta testing a brand new service in January to provide new mobility connections and options to customers in Walker and Kentwood.
This service, called Rapid Connect, will provide on-demand transit service that customers will be able to utilize via mobile app similar to ride-hailing services like Lyft and Uber.
In Walker, the service will cover areas around the 3 Mile Road corridor and will provide connections to:
- Route 9 – Alpine
- Route 7 – West Leonard.
In Kentwood, the service will cover areas around the Broadmoor Avenue corridor and will provide connections to:
- Route 44 – 44th Street at Kentwood City Hall
- Kentwood Station at Woodland Mall
- Route 5 – Wealthy/Woodland
- Route 6 – Eastown/Woodland
- Route 24 – Burton
- Route 27 – Airport/Industrial
- Route 28 – West 28th
- Route 29 – East 28th
- Route 44 – 44th Street
