Let's Save Michigan is a campaign with the main goal of inspiring Michiganders to take ownership of their future and get involved. They also strongly support the passing of the Complete Streets bills, HB 6151 and HB 6152, introduced in the Michigan House on May 6th.

Since the campaign's beginning, Let's Save Michigan has advocated for redeveloping Michigan's cities as pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly urban centers.

How the bills affect Michigan's cities

Simply put, it would require city planners to develop streets for everyone to use rather than favoring motorists.

Specifically, the legislation would require:

"Adequate accommodation, in all phases of project planning, development, construction, maintenance, and operation of all users of the transportation system, including, but not limited to, pedestrians, bicyclists, public transit users, children, older individuals, motorists and individuals with disabilities."
