Add Rapid Routes To Your Maps

Do you want to add Rapid's routes to your Google map? Here are some instructions on how to add an overlay to your map, and the Google URLs where our route traces are hosted.

If you do not have Google Maps on your website already, you will need to sign up for a key. To add a map to your website, visit Google's "Hello World" example.

If you have Google Maps already on your website, we are assuming you know some basic Javascript and know how to use the Google Maps API.

Sample Code

/*
   This is only sample code for Google Maps API V2
   to show you how to add an overlay to your map.
   It may not work if you copy and paste it directly
   onto your web page.
*/

// set up your map
var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map"));

// adds the route overlay to the map
// you would replace routeTraceURL with
// one of the URLs listed below
var geoXml = new GGeoXml(routeTraceURL + "&output=nl");
map.addOverlay(geoXml);
