Millage Election Passes

By a total of 58% to 42%, voters in the six city area of Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids, Grandville, Kentwood, Walker, and Wymoing approved the renewal and increase for public transportation services.

"Thank you to our supporters and the Friends of Transit group for their dedication and enthusiasm," said Peter Varga, CEO of The Rapid.

Route improvements made possible by the approved increase will go into effect September 2008.
