Moving Art — Public Art at Rapid Central Station

The Rapid believes that public art is an important part of a vibrant community and that we have a responsibility to continue the great tradition of public art in the Grand Rapids metro area.

The paintings, sculptures, and mixed media in Rapid Central Station combine to create an art installation that can be shared by the entire Grand Rapids community for years to come. Works were chosen for their perspective on public transportation, travel, and the movement of people.

No local millage funds were used to purchase the art. The total art budget is well-within Federal Transit Administration guidelines.
